Jhoanna Astudillo

Originally from Cuenca, Ecuador, Jhoanna emigrated to the US in 1999. Shortly after, she joined the US Army and served until 2003. During her service, Jhoanna was promoted to supply logistics sergeant and was deployed to Iraq during “Operation Iraqi Freedom”. After military service, Jhoanna attended Illinois State University earning a double bachelor degree in International Business and Marketing and received the “Beta Gamma Sigma” award and membership.
Jhoanna has been in Banking for 15 years and has served in different positions as a Banker, Manager, Sales and Operations Consultant leading to her role at BOKF Financial as monetary operations manager. In her current role, Jhoanna provides monetary risk management to the Consumer Bank and also serves as a member of the Diversity Equity and Inclusion council, co-leader in the Practicing Inclusion community of practice, mentor and cultural ambassador for new and existing employees. Outside of work, Jhoanna enjoys spending time with her husband Christopher Story and daughter Emilia Cristina, traveling, learning about different cultures and volunteering with different organizations that have a focus in diversity, equity and inclusion.
In 2015, she was honored as one of the recipients of the “40 under 40” award in Oklahoma City for her engagement in volunteer work and for her leadership and impact with diversity and inclusion strategies. In 2022, Jhoanna received the “Early achievement career award” from her alma mater for her innovative and responsible professional leadership and a commitment to serving others.
